Hi!

I’m Matthew McSharry.

Owner and founder of insight4business.

I set up insight4business back in January 2019 to help SMEs and mid-sized organisations access practical, no-nonsense strategic advice and support, so they can reach their next level of growth.

Having worked professionally in corporate roles within blue-chip businesses and with clients around the FMCG arena for over 25 years, I’ve gathered a wealth of experience, including leading and developing strong teams.

I’ve also seen first-hand the difficulties that come from working with poor processes and ineffective systems!

That feeling of knowing there’s something wrong but having no idea where to start to get the problem fixed… perhaps you don’t even know what the problem is in the first place!

That feeling that something’s holding you back… and if you could just fix it, you know your business could be super-efficient, sustainable and world-class!

And the BIG problem… not knowing who you can trust to help you move forward!

I get it. It can be frustrating, overwhelming and exhausting. But it doesn’t have to be like that!

Away from the business, I love spending time with my young family, and I’m a proud Dad to two boys aged 6 and 4.

You’ll mostly find us relaxing at home, chilling in the garden, walking in the countryside, or exploring and learning about new places in museums and galleries. We love the sunshine and being outdoors!

As well as my love for (pretty much!) all things business-related, over the last few years, I’ve also developed a new passion for distance running!

I started in the winter of 2015, after the arrival of our first son, and this quickly developed into regular attendance at the Saturday morning Parkruns.

In 2017, I completed my first half marathon, and then in 2018, after another four ‘training’ half-marathons, I completed the York marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. This year, I’m running for the Sunflowers Children’s Action Group in the Great North Run!
